We Operate at the Crossroads of Emergency Situations

Immediate Care Outside the Emergency Response System

EMS providers receive specialised training and certification to provide prehospital emergency medical care. This training varies depending on the level of certification, which may include Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced EMT (AEMT), and Paramedic.

EMS providers offer a range of services on-site, including assessment and treatment of patients, stabilisation of medical conditions, administration of medications, management of trauma injuries, airway management, cardiac monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) or advanced life support (ALS) interventions.

Patients may be transported to the hospital by ambulance, which is equipped with medical supplies and equipment to provide care during transport. EMS providers assess the patient's condition and determine the most appropriate destination, such as the nearest hospital or a specialised trauma centre.

EMS is primarily intended for medical emergencies requiring immediate attention. However, in some areas, non-emergency medical transport services may be available for patients who require transportation for medical appointments or procedures but do not have a medical emergency.
